These children could care less about the border fence behind them, jutting out into the surf of the Pacific Ocean, separating Mexico and the United States. When I visited here I was very moved and shocked to see the huge extent of security, with helicopters, watch towers, search lights, and uniformed border patrol officers patrolling the land just on the other side of the fence.
