Annapurna and Fish Tail Mountain, Early Morning, Australia Camp, Nepal

Annapurna and Fish Tail Mountain, Early Morning, Australia Camp, Nepal, 2011, Inkjet Print on Hahnemule Fine Art Paper, 20 x 24 inches, edition of 10
In more than two days near Annapurna – at 26,545 feet high, the 10th highest mountain in the world – it was visible for a total of only 40 minutes. Hindus believe that Annapurna is “… the universal and timeless kitchen-goddess … the mother who feeds.” I was happy to get this image looking across the valley to it.
